Blur

Reading glasses. First pair.
Purchased today at Publix.
Now I'm near and far sighted...no, that's wrong. They've cancelled each other

out. I guess I'm no sighted.
And old.

You must be 40. Don't worry, it's pretty much inevitable. At age 40, your eyes start to go. This year you might be able to get by with store bought reading glasses, but within a year or so, you'll have to go to a real eye doctor and get prescription strength. I had 20/20 vision my entire life.........until my 39th year - and since then - it has gone down hill rapidly.

Now, at 42 - I am having a hard time seeing anything. I can't read menus in restaurants, or labels in stores. It stinks, and I need new glasses. I have an appointment in June.

So, it's perfectly normal - eyeballs just don't last that long.

I got bifocals when I hit the reading glasses stage. The tops are almost plain glass, as my distance vision is pretty good. Bifocals save me from constantly trying to find my reading glasses.
